Spectra Access donates their services to New Hampshire Audubon Society
Local business offers Manchester community a closer look into Mother Nature
Manchester, NH- April 24, 2007 - Spectra Access, New Hampshire’s leader in Wireless Local Exchange Carrier, has been donating their services to the New Hampshire Audubon society for the past three years. Their donated products and services include Internet access, computer equipment, a video camera known as the “Falcon Cam,” and technology expertise.
Through the donation of their products and services, Spectra Access has provided the New Hampshire Audubon with streaming live video to the public, via their Web site, where they monitor the lives of the peregrine falcons. These falcons are nested in the Brady Sullivan Tower in downtown Manchester, NH. They are very special to the state of New Hampshire as they are said to be the first pair of falcons to establish their nest in northern New England in a human built structure.
“We are happy to provide the high-speed Internet connection and equipment to host a live video feed of the Manchester Peregrine falcons,” said Ron Dumont. “Spectra Access has had the privilege to help the New Hampshire Audubon Society, their members and the Internet-community share the wonders of nesting falcons. It’s amazing to see the birds return year after year to the same nesting ledge.”
Visitors of the New Hampshire Audubon Peregrine Web site are also able to view still images of the falcons, which have been previously captured by the Peregrine Cam, as well as view a list of daily images on the camera library, including archives dated back to 2003.
Please visit www.nhaudubon.org for more information about the Falcons, as well as viewing the live camera!
